Twitter and Instagram Imitate Snapchat

Twitter and Instagram Imitate Snapchat

Last Updated: December 16, 2013

The smartphone app Snapchat has been growing recently, and it would seem that both Twitter and Facebook are trying to catch up. Instagram recently made a big announcement where they introduced Instagram Direct, which allows you to send private messages, images and videos to other users. Twitter also released an update to its direct messaging system which allowed users to send images with their private messages.

Snapchat rebuked a 3 billion dollar acquisition offer by Facebook, recently. It is a desirable company, as users send more than 400 million images through its servers every day. It seems that the companies have taken the stance; If you can’t join them, beat them – or at least try to.
