6 of the World’s Most Exclusive CarsLast Updated: June 1, 2019
Cars… we all love them, and these particular vehicles are among the most exclusive, and expensive, ever made, created for special occasions, anniversaries, dedications and even just for movies. They’re the last word in rare appeal and pure quality.
Exclusive cars, such as the best convertibles, embody an extraordinary allure. Although none of the following six contenders for the crown of most expensive car in the world were exactly conceived as vehicles for taking a quick run to the shops, there are few of us who would not be attracted by these amazing half-dozen. But don’t get too excited and seek to buy one… unless you boast a billionaire’s bank account!
Of course, for collectors and enthusiasts there are always models and wall art, and there are even gaming extravaganzas that simulate the experience of driving the Ferrari F60 America and the Pagani Huayra BC.
Most Expensive Car in the World – Enthusiasts’ Accessories
These are all great items for the car enthusiast, but there is no substitute for the thrill of the real things… so here goes!
1. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita
This beautiful, muscular-looking vehicle is not only one of the most expensive, but easily one of the most exclusive cars, with just two having been made. ‘Trevita’ is Swedish for “three whites”, but the target of three editions couldn’t be reached, due to the carbon fibres used in construction being too time-consuming and difficult. With a top speed of over 410km/h and capable of 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds, Koenigsegg’s CXXR Trevita is incredibly impressive.
Price: €4,341,210 / £3,363,034 / $4,850,000
2. Pagani Huayra BC
With a top speed of 370 km/h and capable of 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, The Huayra BC is another standout showcase for performance. Pagani debuted the BC at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show; an improved edition of the original Huayra. Its sleek, sharp look adds to its most exclusive cars pedigree, and the original has featured on Top Gear, receiving one of the best reviews in the history of the show.
Price: €2,327,246 / £1,802,863 / $2,600,000
3. Aston Martin DB10
Aston Martin has been synonymous with James Bond for over 50 years, earning its reputation as a creator of one of the world’s most exclusive cars ever since one of its vehicles was used by the fictional agent in the movie Goldfinger. The DB10 was designed, engineered and hand crafted by a dedicated Aston Martin team exclusively for the 2015 movie Spectre. Only 10 were made.
Price: €3,070,175 / £2,378,393 / $3,430,000
4. Lamborghini Veneno
The Veneno, a limited edition vehicle built to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th birthday, is focused on optimal aerodynamics and cornering ability. This incredible car can reach 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and was the most expensive production car in the world at the time of its release in 2013. In the meantime, if you really fancy it, and you have a tenth of the asking price, you could always try building a Lamborghini from scratch… you would at least have a semblance, then, of having the most expensive car in the world, or one of them, in your driveway or garage!
Price: €4,027,927 / £3,120,341 / $4,500,000
5. W Motors Lykan Hypersport
The Lykan HyperSport is not just a contender for most expensive car in the world; it’s actually the third most expensive car ever made, and is possibly one of the best known, due to its renowned appearance in the movie Fast and Furious 7. Featuring jewel-encrusted headlights, scissor doors, and a futuristic interior, there are only four of these amazing cars in the world.
Price: €3,043,322 / £2,357,591 / $3,400,000
6. Ferrari F60 America
In celebration of Ferrari’s 60-year tenure in North America, 10 editions of this incredible car were created, based on the F12 Berlinetta. The car features an American theme throughout, and includes an adjustable roof, making it a particularly sleek and striking contender for the title of most expensive car in the world.
